Welfare Contacts

At Pembroke, welfare support is firmly engrained in our College culture and available to all members of our community. Everyone who works at Pembroke is committed to creating an environment where students are able to flourish.

There is a broad support system at Pembroke for a range of issues. Please find details below about the people available in College to talk to about welfare, wellbeing, and diversity.

For who to contact out-of-hours (or in an emergency), please click here, and for useful support services and helplines outside of College, please click here.

Click on the profiles below to find out more about their roles.

Harassment Advisors

Harassment Advisors provide a confidential and supportive space for staff and students to discuss a situation where they feel they have been harassed or bullied.

They are independent of College, and can guide you through the college policy on harassment and bullying, as well as find out practical information on your behalf and signpost you to other sources of support.

They belong to the University’s Harassment Advisors Network, and more information about the scheme can be found here.

To get in contact with one of Pembroke’s Harassment Advisors, please email Kate or Sam to arrange a meeting. You do not need to explain details of what has happened, and we can meet you in person or arrange to speak over a Teams call if you’d prefer.

Junior Deans

The Junior Deans are a good first point of contact for out of hours welfare and well-being issues. They are graduate students and they act as welfare support, first aiders and fire marshals.

To get in touch with a Junior Dean, please contact the Porters either by going to the Lodge or by phone on 01865 276444.
